  • A web browser is the software program used to access the World Wide Web.

  • A browser (also known as client software) retrieves data from web servers, assembles it, then displays it as a web page.

  • The two most popular browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, followed by Chrome and Safari.

  • Browsers basically work the same way. Once you know one, you can easily use others.
